Terms of sale

The plain version of how buying a kit works. Nothing here is hidden in the checkout, and if a question isn't answered, email me.

Who you're buying from

Albany Making Moves is a product of Situated Strategies LLC, a New York limited liability company at PO Box 3766, Albany, NY 12208, United States. Phone: 518 961 5939. Email for orders: olivia@albanymakingmoves.com; the studio's own address, olivia@situatedstrategies.org, reaches the same person. I run the shop myself and answer every email personally, usually within one business day.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars on the kits section and again on the cart page before you pay. Shipping is a flat $7 per order. Sales tax, where it applies, is calculated on the checkout page. Payment is by credit or debit card through Stripe's hosted checkout; the card details go to Stripe, never to this site. You'll get an email receipt from Stripe and a note from me when the kit ships.

Intro pricing runs through December 31st 2026. From January 1st 2027 the 3 day kit is $20 and the 5 day kit is $25. A discount code applies to one kit per order and is entered on the checkout page.

Where kits ship and when

Kits ship to addresses in the United States. I pack and send each order myself, usually within 1 to 2 business days, by USPS or UPS with a tracking number emailed to you. Most orders arrive within 2 to 7 business days once they're on their way. Full details are on the shipping and returns page.

Cancellations

Changed your mind? Email me right away. If the kit hasn't shipped yet, I'll cancel the order and refund it in full to the card you paid with.

Returns

Kits are packed for a move that's already underway, so all sales are final once a kit has shipped and I can't take kits back.

Damaged, missing or wrong

If your kit arrives damaged, or something is missing or not what you ordered, email me within 7 days with a quick photo and your order number. I'll send a replacement or refund you, and you won't need to ship anything back.

What's in a kit

Each kit's contents are listed item by item on the kits section, and that list is what you'll receive. The plates, bowls and platters are made from palm leaf. They're meant to be used and thrown away after the move, not kept.
